Fusion 6.4 Release has major features like Connection for stream lined workflow with Avid editing systems, Geometry Particles, ARRI Raw, Phantom Camera Raw, color support for many professional Digital Cameras, and many more features and tooling. ARRI raw format loading from Alexa cameras, Vision Research Phantom Cine raw loading, along with RED make a comprehensive color pipeline for Digital Cinema cameras. Only Fusion can analyse, display, playback, compare, tune the color telemetry and transcode to many formats. With Scopes, 3DLuts, professional 3D monitor support and added support for Panalog, Sony S-Log, ARRI LogC, Canon Log, RED Log, Viper, It is possible to mix many cameras and get a consistent look.
Replicate 3D is a new cool tool that allows for Geometry Particles or to replicate 3D shapes at the vertex positions of any mesh. It also sports the full set of Jitter and Transform options seen in Duplicate3D.
The Fusion renderer outputs this expanded channel set, Fusion's extensive scene importing allows more control and workflow streamlining between 3D animation and compositing. Fusion renders those extra passes on the fly at lightning speed via GPUs so artists get what they need now.
Occluding using WPP gives the correct real world blending and fitting to the scene. This gives depth dependant results from the world point of view and not just the cameras point of view.
Relighting control takes a big step forward by coupling Fusion's model and scene importing and this versatile volume tool utilizing WPP, this taking finishing to a new level.

The need for network rendering becomes greatly reduced, keeping the studio's infrastructure manageable and cost effective. 3D scene importing via FBX has been greatly expanded, streamlining the process between 3D animation and rendering to directly have the same assets working in Fusion. Produce passes and layers on the fly directly on the GPU at breath-taking speed. Cutting reliance on other applications and departments simplifies the production process.
Fusion accelerates from the starting line with astounding GPU optimizations, local file caches and particle solution caching. The creative horizon expands with new tools for managing grain, color correction and handling metadata. Scripter's will rejoice at the inclusion of native python support, and everyone benefits from the many enhancements to particles.
Relighting has been pioneered in Fusion for well over 15 years from rich deep pixels and reshading tools to a full GPU renderer. In the 3D system has been greatly refined with full importing of scenes with matched animation curves, stereo cameras, and lighting and multi level materials from all the major 3D applications. The GPU render outputs multiple layer types for later processing at extraordinary speed. The ability to directly have scenes in the compositing artist hands opens up creative possibilities and relieves the dependence on other departments.

Render Nodes bring multiple render machines online to crunch through endless effects shots. With the press of a single button and Fusion's network rendering, the workload can be distributed over any number of machines where artists can automatically share the same Render Nodes network.
Render Nodes proved their power in 2001, with Frantic Films incredible 6K shots of Swordfish, all rendered using Render Nodes.
